TotalBoat Danish Teak Sealer is designed to restore, preserve, and protect the natural color and beauty of teak and other oily hardwoods. Suitable for interior and exterior use, it enhances the wood’s natural tone without discoloration.

Substrates
Designed for use on teak, but will also work on other oily hardwoods.
Surface Preparation
- If teak has a gray appearance, clean using TotalBoat Teak Cleaner, then sand smooth with 220-grit sandpaper in direction of the grain.
- Vacuum sanding dust and remove residue with a tack cloth.
- Wipe surface with a clean, lint-free cotton rag dampened with denatured alcohol and allow to dry.
- If teak is in good condition (natural golden appearance), sand smooth with 220-grit sandpaper.
- Remove dust and wipe with denatured alcohol as above.
Application
- Stir thoroughly before use.
- Apply by brush or wipe on with a clean, lint-free cotton rag.
- Allow 20–30 minutes for sealer to penetrate.
- Wipe off excess with a clean, lint-free cotton rag.
- Apply two coats to new wood, or one coat for seasonal maintenance.
- Allow 8–12 hours drying time between coats.
- Scuff lightly with a Scotch-Brite™ pad before recoating to ensure adhesion, consistency, and penetration.
Maintenance
- Clean surface with boat soap and water.
- Maintenance frequency varies by location and exposure.
- Some applications may require monthly maintenance, others yearly.
- Reapply as needed or when natural teak color begins to fade.
Warning
RAGS, STEEL WOOL, OR WASTE SOAKED WITH PAINT, TEAK OILS, OR SOLVENTS MAY SPONTANEOUSLY CATCH FIRE IF DISCARDED IMPROPERLY. IMMEDIATELY AFTER USE, PLACE IN A SEALED, WATER-FILLED METAL CONTAINER.
