TotalBoat Aluminum Boat Etch Wash cleans, brightens, and improves the adhesion of coatings applied to aluminum, galvanized steel, and other non-ferrous metals. A single application removes corrosion and etches the surface so finishes bond more effectively and last longer. It is compatible with one- and two-part finishes and may be used above or below the waterline.

Surface Preparation
- Remove loose dirt or debris from the surface
- Abrade surface with a Scotch-Brite pad or sand with 220-grit sandpaper
- Remove sanding residue completely
Application
- Product is ready to use
- Apply by brush or spray
- Lightly abrade areas with oxidation buildup if needed
- Allow product to remain on surface for 5 minutes
- Do not allow product to dry on the surface
- Reapply as needed to keep surface wet during application
- After 5 minutes, rinse thoroughly with fresh or deionized water
- Dry surface completely
- Apply paint, primer, epoxy, or polish immediately after drying
