TotalBoat Wet Edge can generally be applied directly to enamel paints that are in good condition, but it's very important to always test adhesion in a small, inconspicuous spot before attempting this on a larger scale. In most cases, the previous enamel paint can be scuff-sanded prior to applying TotalBoat Wet Edge, as directed on the label.
Enamel paints are generally hard, glossy and very durable. Once these paints have cured for at least 48 hours, they can be scuff-sanded and painted with Wet Edge, as directed on the label, following directions for previously painted surfaces. Priming should not be required. If the previous enamel paint coating is not in good condition, it should be removed prior to applying TotalBoat Wet Edge, or any primers.
