You can spray TotalBoat Elixir using compressed air, HVLP, or airless spray systems. Elixir will need to be thinned 5-20% with clean, fresh (or distilled) water. The amount of water needed to spray will vary, but keep in mind that the more Elixir is thinned, the lower the gloss will be when it has cured, and the paint may be more likely to sag or drip. It is strongly recommended to thin as little as possible to still be able to apply the finish. Apply each coat at 4-6 mils wet film thickness (heavy coats, but not sagging). When the coating is dry to the touch, another coat can be applied.
For HVLP setups, the pressure should start between 20 and 40 psi, and a 1.4-1.8 mm tip is recommended.
Compressed air will require a .040” tip. Air pressure will depend on the setup and the conditions.
Airless sprayers will require a .009” - .013” tip.
