You can tint TotalBoat TotalTread non-skid paint by blending TotalBoat Wet Edge topside paint into the TotalTread. The range of possible colors that you can make is somewhat limited, as it is only recommended to add a maximum 10-25% Wet Edge to TotalTread.
It should be noted that, as more Wet Edge is added to the TotalTread to achieve a desired color, this will reduce the concentration of the non-skid material, and increase the shine of the coating. Lowering the concentration of non-skid material may make it so more coats are needed to achieve the desired texture. Though increasing the sheen may not seem like a big issue, shinier surfaces become slipperier when wet than low-sheen surfaces, and solar glare off of the shinier TotalTread surface can become a factor.
IMPORTANT: TotalBoat epoxy and polyester pigments, as well as other hardware store-grade, or universal tints should never be used to tint TotalBoat TotalTread because of the risk of incompatibility.
