When a shopper uses the Ask A Question function on product pages to ask a question about that item, the system automatically and instantly emails the question to our Total Support Team as well as participating customers who have previously purchased the item in question.
Generally, our customers are enthusiastic about sharing their experience and knowledge to help other shoppers. Our internal subject matter experts will also do their best to answer any questions other shoppers don't.
If you used the Ask A Question function to ask a question and never received an answer, here a few possibilities:
- Check your email inbox, especially bulk (ie promotions or spam) folders just in case. If the answer is there, consider adding Jamestown Distributors as a contact to prevent this from happening in the future
- Give it a little more time and see if you receive an answer in a few hours to a few days. Our Total Support Team does our best to answer questions other customers don't, but sometimes the rest of their jobs (answering the phones, processing orders, answering emails, processing exchanges and returns) and volume during our peak business season mean real-time answers are not always possible.
- The product in question is one where few or no customers have purchased it, making the available pool of potential respondents very small.
- The question asked is not something other customers or our Total Support Team are able to answer. Sometimes questions regarding uncommon applications, circumstances, or issues arejust so specific, nobody is quite sure how to answer!
