TotalBoat Wet Edge Topside Paint can not be recoated while it is tacky. Wet Edge should never be recoated without lightly scuff-sanding first. Wet Edge needs to cure to a tack-free state, and be hard enough to be easily sanded to a fine powder. If the paint feels rubbery or grabs the sandpaper at all, it needs to cure longer, even if this period of time is longer than the specified times on the label. The dry time for the paint is completely dependent on the film thickness that it is applied, if it was thinned and how much, and the environmental conditions.
