Epoxy is a very durable and stable material once it has fully cured. TotalBoat TableTop Epoxy is no exception.
In most circumstances where there is a bond failure, or cracking under extreme cold conditions, it is due to the substrate material contracting to an extreme degree, or due to quick temperature changes resulting in rapid contraction or expansion. If the epoxy separates from the substrate when exposed to extreme cold temperatures, it is a sign of poor surface preparation prior to applying TableTop Epoxy, or it is a substrate that does not promote a very strong bond. In most cases, the substrate will fail, or crack, while still adhered to the epoxy material.
