Crystallization happens when epoxy resin or hardener changes from its liquid form into solid crystals, and usually occurs because the epoxy was exposed to low temperatures or contaminated with dust or moisture.
IMPORTANT: Always returned to the crystallized material to its liquid state before using it.
To liquefy crystallized resin or hardener, simply put the container in a warm water bath. The water temperature should be 140-150°F; change the water, as needed, to maintain this temperature. Stir gently while heating to help break up the crystals.
To prevent crystallization, store your resin and hardener products in a dry place where the temperature range is 60-90°F. In cold weather, store products on a raised surface off of the floor, and do not place any products near outside walls or doors.
