Abstract:
This document describes the setup procedure of the presentation equipment for all company Zoom presentations.
Procedure:
To ensure a smooth All Hands experience we will follow the following steps as we setup the broadcast equipment. The main steps will be:
- Setting up the camera and capture equipment
- Setting up audio equipment and running sound checks
- Setting up Google slides and Zoom
Cameras and Capture
- Position cameras
- Setup DSLR and frame the subject
- Camera requires AC power
- White balance DSLR
- Set focus
- Setup DSLR and frame the subject
- Setup laptop
- Ensure laptop has power
- Connect Capture box to laptop
- Run HDMI cables from camera to capture box and tape down
- Connect laptop to TV as screen 2
Sound
- Connect RODE receiver to laptop
- Ensure mics are unmuted and mic participant.
- Setup roving mic and mute until needed.
OBS Studio
- Open OBS Studio
- Setup input for video and sound.
- Select BlackMagic capture for video
- Select RODE receiver for Audio
- Ensure you see camera image in OBS and see audio on the meters.
- If image is not seen troubleshoot capture box
- Ensure HDMI cable is plugged in fully on camera and capture box
- Ensure camera is on and powered
- Start OBS Virtual camera
Zoom/Slides
Slides
- Setup slides in presentation mode
- You may need to have Mike Mills on hand to log into Google.
- Ensure slide show is on screen 2 (TV) full screen
- Ensure the presenter view is on screen 1 (laptop monitor)
- Set the slide show to the first slide.
Zoom
- Connect to Zoom meeting
- Share screen 2
- Have Leah connect to meeting to verify video and audio levels.
