Can TotalBoat Wet Edge topside paint be applied over powder coat?

TotalBoat Wet Edge topside paint can be applied to powder coated surfaces, but it is imperative that the surface is properly prepared.

The powder coat substrate must be completely cleaned to remove any surface contamination, then sanded with 180-grit sandpaper. Remove all sanding residue and wipe the surface clean with TotalBoat Dewaxer & Surface Prep. For best adhesion, prime the substrate with TotalBoat 2-Part Epoxy Primer or TotalBoat TotalProtect before applying Wet Edge topside paint. If the surface is primed, allow the primer to cure completely for a minimum of 48 hours. Sand the primed surface with 220-grit sandpaper, remove all sanding residue and wipe the surface clean with TotalBoat Dewaxer & Surface Prep prior to applying Wet Edge. Ensure that the surface is completely dry before applying TotalBoat Wet Edge.
