Can TotalBoat Halcyon Satin be applied over TotalBoat Aluminum Boat Paint to make it more durable?

TotalBoat Halcyon Satin can be applied over TotalBoat Aluminum Boat Paint to add a layer protection.  It's questionable whether adding Halcyon Satin will make the overall coating more durable, but will add a very resilient clear coat layer onto the Aluminum Boat Paint.
