Can epoxy be applied directly to polyester laminating resin to finish curing it?

It is recommended to fully cure any polyester resins, remove any waxes, PVA or other air-dry materials, then sand prior to applying epoxy to the surface. This will always ensure that both the polyester and epoxy materials can independently cure properly and thoroughly.
