Which spray gun nozzle size should I use to apply gelcoat?

Gelcoat is thicker than paint, so it requires a spray tip with a larger orifice.

Spray guns and gelcoat formulations vary, making it difficult to provide specific spray nozzle sizes. In general, the recommended nozzle size for spraying gelcoat depends on the type of spray gun you're using. Check the spray gun manufacturer's info to make sure your gun supports the nozzle size you want to use. 

For best results spraying gelcoat, we recommend a spray gun designed specifically for applying gelcoat, such as the ES G100 Gelcoat Spray Gun.
