Can I use TotalBoat Eco Solvent as a surface prep wipe on wood, prior to varnishing?

TotalBoat Eco Solvent is not recommended for use as a solvent wipe prior to varnishing. If it is to be used, the person applying the varnish over it would have to ensure that the Eco Solvent has completely evaporated, and that the odor it emits is no longer present.

TotalBoat Eco Solvent is better served when wiping to remove surface contamination from composite materials that do not have a sense of porosity. Eco Solvent is also very slow evaporating, so it would take even longer to come out of the grain of the wood. Eco Solvent is potent enough to act as a paint or varnish remover if it is left on the surface long enough, so it is imperative that it has completely evaporated prior to applying any varnish.
