Gelcoat is commonly applied thicker than paint, so the yield for gelcoat is usually based on an application thickness. Gelcoat is typically applied from 5-25 mils in thickness (depending on application method and the recommended application thickness for a specific product), and the yield will be dependent on this. Please see the chart below for common yields based on quart or gallon units.
The addition of MEKP (Methyl Ethyl Ketone Peroxide (catalyst)) or any other additives/colorants/thinners should not be considered additional material that would extend the yields below.
