Does TotalBoat TotalStrip remove barrier coat?

TotalBoat TotalStrip applied directly to bottom paint that is over a barrier coat will remove the bottom paint, and if left on long enough or in direct contact with the barrier coat, could soften the barrier coat over time.

TotalStrip will not be as effective on barrier coats as it is on bottom paints.
