TotalBoat TableTop can only be applied directly to TotalBoat ThickSet epoxy that has gone through the exothermic reaction and cooled to normal room temperature (80°F or less) and is mostly firm. The previously applied ThickSet epoxy can still be slightly tacky to the touch, but it can not be liquid still, or easy deformed.
Though it can work successfully, it is strongly advised to wait until a previous epoxy has completely cured before applying a different epoxy system. Always use caution when attempting to hot coat any epoxy other than the previously applied epoxy system. Poor mixing of either epoxy system, or the presence of contamination will only amplify the mess and efforts needed to resolve it.
