The R-value for TotalBoat Polyurethane Flotation Foam is 6.5-6.6 for 2-pound foam, and 5.0-5.5 for 6-pound foam*. The R-value is a measure of a material's ability to insulate, or slow the rate of heat flow.
*These values are based on 1" of fully cured foam. The R-value for each foam can be multiplied by the thickness of the foam (in inches) to determine a specific application's R-value.
