Can TotalBoat TotalFair be used over a 1-part paint?

It is not recommended to apply TotalBoat TotalFair over 1-part paints.  Fairing with epoxy products should not be performed over any 1-part paints.  TotalFair will not have the same bond strength with a 1-part coating compared with fiberglass, wood, metal, or other 2-part epoxy materials.  As a convention, all fairing should be done before applying any topside paints to ensure the best bond with the substrate.  TotalFair will likely not sand at the same rate as the 1-part paints as well, which could complicate the process of fairing by adding extra steps, labor to complete the fairing job, or material required.
